Over the last couple of years, internet usage has grown substantially. People are now using the internet to search for information, buy or sell products, make reservations and even do their banking online. More and more people that used to rely on newspapers and magazines for information now rely on the internet because it provides a wealth of information very quickly!
Like many others, the travel & accommodation industry was greatly impacted by the internet. More and more people now use the internet to locate a destination and make their travel arrangements. You can now easily rent a car, buy airline tickets and book a hotel room directly from your home computer. According to a new study released by Statistics Canada in July 2004.... "more Canadians are logging on to the Internet than ever before". "More than 6.7 million Canadian homes used the Internet on a regular basis in 2003". Finally, note that according to Sympatico.ca, "camping" and "campgrounds" are two of the most popular search items during the summer months.
As a business owner, you probably realize the importance of "being on the internet"! We now offer you two ways to do this: (1) our
"Campground website" option which allows you to easily create and update your own website (click here for more information) and (2) our "Free listing" option which allows you to get listed by our campground search tool with basic information only (ie. your campground name, city, province, no. of sites and telephone number).
With our "Free listings" option, you do not have access to any of our web tools and you do not have your own bulletin board, you cannot print "camp-kits" etc..... However, if you already have your own campground website, this option might be right for you since we can setup your free listing to link directly to your existing website (provided you setup a reciprocal link as described
