Forum  RV info and tips        Topic  can i tow it
Posted by: cory .... at 5:34:59 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2010
I have a 1998 gmc 1500 5.7 l engine 4x4 with 3:73 gears and a extra leaf in the springs and air bag in the back end. I just bought a 1997 27'' travel trailer. The door on the truck says i can pull 6200lbs gvrw. The trailer says max weight is 6700lbs gvrw. Question is this risky to pull with the 1500. Reply

Towing a car without any towing skills and knowledge is a great mistake and can backfire your towing plan. Your car will further get damaged in that effort so It''s better to take help from experts to recover your vehicle when it broke down or got damaged. I did the same thing and damaged my car from its doors and backside.

Read Below some reasons on why you should not tow your own car as it can damage your expensive car!! Reply
