Forum  Camping info and tips        Topic  Looking for Camping tips/requirements
Posted by: .... at 9:52:06 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2018
I''m heading to Alberta/Banff area towards the end of march, thinking of going camping for a day or two but I keep on hearing different things as far as what I would need to camp. I keep on hearing that I need a winter tent and thermal footprint, along with a few other requirements. Can anyone provide any comments/advice concerning what I would need to camp in the Banff area? I will be doing my own research as well but I figured this could help as well. Reply

We''ve tented at Tunnel Mountain village 1 many times, using it as our Basecamp and loved it..easy access and nice private sites.
As for winter/cold weather gear.. it''s the mountains and unpredictable. We''ve seen snow on our tent in late July.. day time temps 30c and overnight temps around 3c. Reply

You can prepare a large outdoor backpack, effective pest control equipment and drugs, double-deck tent against heavy rain, a cloth wider than the tent, thicker moisture-proof pad, a sleeping bag, outdoor cooking utensils, a bright flashlight and something else. They are required for a camping. You can get more ideas from sunnest. Reply

Agree here as we need to be fully prepared when going out for camping. Choosing the right place with the right tools can make our experience really great and without any fear of getting broke, financially and tool-wise when facing a hard time. Reply
